Rob Kardashian 'Disappointed' by Blac Chyna's Arrest, Family Finds It 'Troublesome That She Was Caught with Drugs,' Says Source

Rob Kardashian may have rushed to girlfriend Blac Chyna’s aid after she was arrested in Austin, but a source says he might not be thrilled with her recent legal trouble.

“Rob would never admit it, but it seems he is a bit disappointed in Chyna’s arrest,” a source tells PEOPLE. “It’s never good when you are in a new relationship and your partner has legal trouble.”

Blac Chyna was arrested Friday on public intoxication and drug possession charges, with police saying she was in possession of two ecstasy pills and acting “unpredictable” and “angry” at the Austin airport.

“It seems Rob has this idea that his life with Chyna will be so much better than his old life. He is clearly making an effort to change his negative ways,” the source says. “The question right now is just if Chyna is able to continue to be a good influence on Rob.”

The romance between Kardashian, 28, and Blac Chyna, 27, was first made public last week. Kardashian has shied away from the public spotlight for the past two years as he battled depression and weight gain, but he has been stepping out of the shadows since news of the relationship broke. His family has had mixed feelings about the relationship, given Blac Chyna’s complicated history with the Kardashians, and the source says her arrest has made the family question if the model is ultimately going to be right for him.

“It’s troublesome that she was caught with drugs,” the source says of the family’s reaction. “There is a concern now that Chyna might not be great for him. Nobody wants their relationship to have a negative effect on Rob or end badly.”

Blac Chyna has not responded to PEOPLE’s requests for comment.
