Up to seven police officers who arrived at the scene after a South Carolina police officer fired his gun eight times at Walter Scott from behind as he ran away are now being investigated.

Now-fired police officer Michael Slager, 33, who has been charged with murder, was videotaped on a cell phone during the encounter and can be seen shooting Scott, 50.

The other police officers arrived at the scene within minutes of Saturday’s shooting, beginning at about 9:30 a.m., according to CBS News.

“We are interviewing everyone at the scene including all of the officers,” a law-enforcement source close to the investigation told the news outlet.

North Charleston, South Carolina, mayor Keith Summey said on Wednesday that he did not know if the other officers will be disciplined.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
