Lamar Odom reached a plea agreement in his DUI case, receiving three years of probation and agreeing to attend a three-month alcohol-education program.
An attorney for Khloé Kardashian‘s troubled husband appeared in Superior Court in Van Nuys, Calif., on Monday to enter a no-contest plea on Odom’s behalf, according to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Ofice.
Odom, 34, who wasn’t required to be in court, also will pay $1,800 in fines and penalties.
The California Highway Patrol pulled over Odom last August on the freeway in the San Fernando Valley when he was allegedly driving below the speed limit in a “serpentine manner.” He showed “objective signs of intoxication,” the CHP said, but refused to take a chemical test at the jail.
A former star of the Los Angeles Lakers, Odom hopes to restart his professional basketball career, recently training with members of the Los Angeles Clippers – the last team he played for – and meeting with team officials.
