Jon Schmidt, a musician with the popular recording group The Piano Guys, is pleading with the public to help him locate his missing 21-year-old daughter, Anna, PEOPLE confirms.
Anna was last seen by her roommate on Sunday, when she went hiking in the Tooth Rock Trailhead area of Oregon. Her father told FOX12 Oregon that she sent him a Snapchat message that day, indicating that she was going on a hike.
She hasn’t been seen since.
Anna’s car was found on Thursday, and investigators are searching it for clues to her disappearance.
Schmidt has turned to Facebook, asking for the public’s help. In the message, posted on Friday, he says she was wearing a gray or green beanie. He also asked his fans for their prayers.
The Utah-based Piano Guys first posted their first YouTube video in 2010. Since then, they have racked up more than a billion views of their videos. They have also scored four #1 classical music albums. Schmidt is one of the co-founders.
In the interview with FOX12, Schmidt talked about his daughter, who the family calls Annie. “She is so adventurous,” he said. “She definitely is the type of person who would pull over, see something beautiful and just go.”
Schmidt also asked viewers to share pictures of the young woman. “The more people that we get looking at her picture that were hiking here on Sunday, the better our chance of sending the dogs in the right direction,” he said. “It’s literally a 50-mile area and it’s like a needle in a haystack.”
