While she struggles to come to terms with her second conviction for the 2007 murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher, a first look at a new movie inspired by Amanda Knox was released on Tuesday.

The Face of an Angel, directed by Michael Winterbottom, is, according to Variety, a fictional adaption of journalist Barbie Latza Nadeau’s Angel Face: Sex, Murder and the Inside Story of Amanda Knox. It stars Kate Beckinsale, Cara Delevingne and Daniel Brühl.

The film focuses on the reporter (Beckinsale) and documentary filmmaker (Bruhl) covering the media circus surrounding an American student in Italy and her Italian boyfriend after the slaying of her roommate.

While prepping for the film last summer, Winterbottom told The Hollywood Reporter, “Our film is actually about losing a daughter, losing someone close to you. Why are we so interested in violence, and why are we not more interested in love?”
