Tim McGraw has reportedly settled with the woman he slapped after she grabbed his leg during an Atlanta concert.
“It’s been mutually resolved the old-fashioned way … with a simple conversation,” the fan’s lawyer told TMZ.
McGraw, 47, was videotaped pushing the fan away during a sold-out show in July.
“At the end of the night during an encore, Tim was singing out in the audience and someone firmly grabbed onto his leg and wouldn’t let go as he was moving through the crowd,” his rep told PEOPLE Country at the time. “He instinctively swatted to try and keep them from ripping his jeans (which they succeeded at doing!), and so he could get to more fans who were trying to slap hands with him before the end of the show.”
In an interview later, the “Highway Don’t Care” singer called the incident “an unfortunate situation.”
“It is one of those things that happen, nobody feels good about it, but there’s nothing that could be done about it,” he said. “You are in that position, you are out there, you are vulnerable, things happen and sometimes you react.”
According to TMZ, the fan’s attorney wouldn’t say whether any money was involved in the settlement.
