Looking for new music to add to your holiday playlist? Tegan Marie has the answer.
The 13-year-old country singer-songwriter is releasing her new festive single “Just Another Night” to help people get in the spirit of the holidays, and PEOPLE has an exclusive first listen.
“‘Just Another Night’ is a holiday song that is all about spending time with the ones you love during this festive season and creating those amazing memories,” Marie tells PEOPLE of the upbeat tune.
“Winter is by far my favorite season because nothing beats having snow at Christmas, curling up by the fire and the smell of Christmas cookies and our tree,” she said. “There is nothing better this time of year because I love spending time with my family and eating both my Grandmother’s cranberry salad and my mom’s special cookies and OF COURSE decorating our tree with my brother Spencer.”
A native of Flint, Michigan, Marie can next be seen honoring Smokey Robinson, the 2016 recipient of the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, with a performance of “My Guy” in a PBS special airing Feb. 12.
“Just Another Night” is out Friday.
