Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson are joining forces again, this time for Django and Jimmie, a country duets album of covers and original music.

Django and Jimmie takes its name from Django Reinhardt and Jimmie Rodgers, two major influences on both Nelson’s guitar playing and Haggard’s songwriting, and comes 32 years after Haggard and Nelson’s first collaboration: the iconic 1983 hit “Pancho and Lefty.”

The new album also gives the two country legends – and old friends – a chance to salute each other by singing each other’s songs. Nelson voices a new recording of Haggard’s “Somewhere Between,” while Haggard covers Nelson’s classic “Family Bible.”

Django and Jimmie will be available June 2.
