The NHL is officially goin’ country.
Just three days after Carrie Underwood surprised hockey and country fans by singing the national anthem before husband Mike Fisher’s Nashville Predators took on the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round of the NHL playoffs, another big-time country star took to the ice to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner:” Luke Bryan.
The 40-year-old Georgia native sported a Predators jersey and placed his right hand over his heart as he belted out the patriotic tune. After he finished, he twirled a yellow Predators towel and blew a kiss to the crowd.
The star also showed his team pride on Twitter, sharing a shot of himself looking pumped while standing just outside the rink.
“Let’s do this,” he captioned the image.
The Predators indeed did it, completing their first round sweep of the Blackhawks in a 4-1 victory.

Afterwards Bryan and fellow Predators fan and country star Dierks Bentley joked that the win was their doing.
“I don’t think we should take all the credit but I will say once @lukebryan and I put these hats on the @predsnhl scored two goals in a row! Just sayin,” Bentley wrote in an Instagram message Bryan also shared.
Bryan is becoming an expert at singing the national anthem at high-profile sporting events: In February he was the first male singer in a decade to belt out the song at the Super Bowl.
