Any more room on that bus?
Kenny Chesney released the music video for his new single “American Kids” on Monday, and we are more than ready to hop aboard. Filmed in the Southern California desert, the video captures the essence of being a carefree kid, according to the singer.
“The spirit of this thing [is] the song, the bus, the idea of the kids riding around, having fun, playing music and just celebrating life,” Chesney told ET of the clip, which depicts the singer playing his guitar in a painted school bus, driving around with a posse of kids and teens.
“If I could create a video where it wasn’t so literal, but more about the state of mind and the freedom my fans embrace, then to me, that’s the best way to capture the song on film,” he added.
“Kids” is off the singer’s 15th studio project, The Big Revival, which comes out Sept. 23. Though Chesney took 2014 off from touring, he’s been busy in the studio – and we couldn’t be happier about it.
