Selena Gomez paid homage last week to her namesake, the late Texas-born Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla. The “Wolves” singer sported a vintage Selena t-shirt in Los Angeles that she paired with a light denim jacket and black leggings. Quintanilla holds a special place in the heart of Gomez and her family, who are also from the Lone Star State, the former Disney star revealed  in a 2016 interview. “My dad and mom were huge fans,” she said of the Tex-Mex queen. “My name was going to be Priscilla, but my cousin actually took the name when she was born six months before me. They actually loved [Selena’s] music, so they just named me after her.”

Gomez’s tribute comes amid an ever-increasing fever over the iconic crooner. Before Quintanilla got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in November of last year, she was honored with a Google Doodle celebrating her life and legacy and a wax likeness at Madame Tussauds in New York City. Quintanilla amor persists well into 2018: Last month, ABC Studios announced it’s developing a television series loosely based on her life. Those who want to join in on all the Quintanilla love can copy Gomez’s style with these similar t-shirts below that honor the “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” vocalist.

Gomez isn’t the only celebrity honoring Quintanilla in style. New mom Kylie Jenner wore a Selena tee in 2016, which delighted Quintanilla’s sister Suzette, who told radio station Power 106 Los Angeles last November: “I think Kylie [Jenner] last year was wearing a Selena shirt, and that didn’t come as a surprise because they are fans of Selena and our music, so it was cool.”
