Jane the Virgin is getting a new cast member. Rosario Dawson has been confirmed to appear in a multi-episode story arc in season 4, which returns to CW later this month. Before the official confirmation,  rumors of Dawson’s upcoming appearance swirled when the show’s lead Gina Rodriguez posted a telling pic on Instagram.

On Wednesday, Rodriguez posted a photo announcing her directorial debut on the show with a shot of Dawson standing by her side on set.  “Add another director to that list. #TimesUp,” Rodriguez wrote.

A few hours later, Dawson showed Rodriguez some love, posting a pic of the two actresses and words of encouragement: “Don’t stop! Get it! Get it! Director director! Read all about it!” she wrote.

On Jan. 7, Entertainment Weekly reported that Dawson is set to appear in the second half of the season, but no details have been revealed about her role. Other guest stars on Jane the Virgin have included Britney Spears, Paulina Rubio, Gloria Estefan, and Kate Del Castillo.

Both Rodriguez and Dawson have made headlines recently by joining the Time’s Up initiative, a collective of 300 women in Hollywood aiming to end sexual harassment, assault and abuse in the workforce across industries. Dawson currently stars on Netflix’s Marvel shows as Claire Temple.
