Season 2 of CW’s Riverdale can’t come soon enough for fans of the hit series. From the looks of the teasers, the next season seems like it’ll be darker than the first, which ended on a cliffhanger.

Last month, the show’s cast took the stage at Comic-Con to spill some secrets about the second season. They revealed that no relationship is safe (trouble ahead for couple Jughead and Betty, aka Bughead?) and that fans will learn the fate of Fred Andrews by the end of the first episode. ““By the end of the first episode, we will know who shot Fred,” confirmed creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. “The first episode is basically Archie, the gang, all the town sitting and waiting to find out what’s going to happen with Fred.” The first trailer, which dropped at the event, left fans with plenty of questions on what’s to come.

Now, season 2 has a new, hair-raising trailer—titled the “Desperate Times Promo”—that picks where Season 1 left off. The preview has Veronica, played by Camila Mendes, in a sexy shower scene and Archie Andrews, played by K.J. Apa, in possession of a gun.

The cast revealed to Entertainment Weekly that most, if not all, the characters will go darker in the upcoming season. Riverdale returns to the CW on October 11th.
