With the current political climate, there’s nothing like a viral video to bring cultures together.

A Facebook video containing a compilation of clips featuring Mexicans and Punjabis has gone viral, generating over 22 million views in a little over a week. Neighbors from both groups were captured in the middle of the street dancing together to songs from their respective cultures. They were seen trying to learn each other’s traditional dances with the inclusion of some dance battles.

“When Punjabi and Mexicans meet,” read one of the captions from the clips. Meanwhile, the post on Facebook was captioned, “We need more of this in the world.”

Check out the video below:

The original video was shared on Twitter by Jashandeep Kahlon, a student and basketball player at San Francisco State University. In his post, he calls it “the best 4th of July” he’s taken part in and even gives a shoutout to his Mexican neighbors. In one of the comments, a user claims that she lives in the neighborhood the video takes place in and that the party captured is nothing out of the ordinary for the area.

Thousands of comments were left on the viral social media posts with many sharing their excitement for the diversity displayed on America’s Independence Day. “This is what America really is.. diversity without division,” replied one user. Others asked to be invited the next time these neighbors held a dance-off.

Could this be the start of a new trend with cultures coming together for a good time?
