“Goldfinger could not have done it better,” reports today’s Daily Mail, reporting on Prince William’s appearance at a friend’s birthday party at London’s trendy JaK’s Club. The young Royal had daubed his face with gold paint. “He arrived with two bodyguards — not, sadly, looking terribly golden themselves — had a great time and didn’t leave until after 1 a.m.,” said the tabloid.

  • In other news of the Royal Family, “Buckingham Palace plans to rent out the Royal Train to recoup some of its 1.5-million-pounds a year running costs,” Britain’s Mirror reports. “A Palace spokesman said: ‘The options are to allow other Government departments, public bodies and appropriate organizations to use the train when it is in the national interest.'” The train was used by the Royals only 19 times last year.
