So just why was Jinger’s cousin, whom viewers got to know on TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting, absent from the celebratory event in Arkansas?
“Amy missed out on Jinger’s big day because she was in Las Vegas with her husband attending the 2017 SEMA show (an automotive specialty products trade event),” a source tells PEOPLE of King and her husband Dillon, who married in a country-chic wedding near Bentonville, Arkansas, in September 2015.
“There are no issues between Amy in the family. They already had something scheduled so it was just bad timing,” the source says, adding that “Amy loves Jinger. She was sad to miss the big event but knows there will be many more, and she’s excited to celebrate with her when they get back.”
On Saturday, PEOPLE exclusively confirmed that Jinger, 22, and Jeremy, 28, held their ceremony at the Cathedral of the Ozarks at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, where Jinger’s sister Jessa (Duggar) Seewald served as the maid of honor while Vuolo’s brother, Charles, was the best man.
After tying the knot, the couple took to their website to confirm the exciting news over the weekend: “YES! We are married! We are so thankful to God, our parents and our wonderful families and friends for celebrating this day with us and for helping us arrive at this moment in time. We love that we now are beginning our lives together as one, before God.”
“We plan to get away for a couple of days alone together and then will be leaving the country for an amazing trip to New Zealand and Australia,” the couple told PEOPLE. “We are so excited and so thankful for this amazing trip to start our marriage together. Most of all, we are just excited that we will be together … married!”
