Spoiler’s Alert: Do not continue reading if you are an “NYPD Blue” fan and do not wish to know the likely fate of Danny Sorenson, the popular character played by actor Rick Schroder. But the New York Post managed to snap a photo of a funeral scene for the series that was shot at Linden Hills Cemetery in Queens, N.Y. this week. Shown standing over a coffin draped with a police flag are Det. Andy Sipowicz (Dennis Franz), wearing his dress blues and weeping. Also shown are cast members Henry Simmons and Gordon Clapp. Sorenson is the likely occupant of the box, according to wide speculation. In last May’s season finale, he disappeared after messing around with a hooker who was then found dead in his apartment. (Sorenson had started drinking last season following a torrid affair with Diane Russell, played by Kim Delaney.) Schroder, 31, who announced that he wanted to spend more time with his family, has left the series. He will be replaced by former “Saved By the Bell” star Mark Paul Gosselaar.
