Looking as dapper as James Bond in an elegant pinstriped tuxedo, Reeves attends the BAFTAs (the British Academy of Film and Television Awards) in London. "It's fun to play a guy that's fatalistic, cynical, jaded, world weary, not the nicest guy but who has a good heart," Reeves told New York's Daily News about his character in Constantine, opening Feb. 18.

Reeves takes hounding by the London press in stride as he leaves the city's Cipriani restaurant. "He's not dangerous to men or women. He's attractive to both," Speed director Jan De Bont told Premiere about Reeves's appeal. "I think that is the key thing."

In addition to promoting Constantine, Reeves introduced the indie film Thumbsucker at the Berlin International Film Festival. Reeves costars with Tilda Swinton, Vince Vaughn and Benjamin Bratt in the movie, which debuted at the Sundance fest in January.

Reeves adjusts to the sun as he leaves Rome's Eden Hotel after a two-day stay. In spite of the "Whoa, dude" persona he perfected in movies like Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Reeves's friends tout his intelligence. "He knows everything about politics, music, but he isn't out there trying to show you how smart he is," says Matrix producer Joel Silver. "He's very unassuming."

A scruffy-looking Reeves greets fans at the Spanish premiere of Constantine. Next up for the actor: the sci-fi flick A Scanner Darkly, due in September. "Acting is home for me," Reeves said during his Feb. 15 Good Morning America appearance. "I love the creative process. I love trying to discover a role, to tell a story."

Reeves took time out from promoting Constantine in Paris to visit the Louvre museum. "Keanu is more of a spiritual person, more of a person that wants to affect the world in a positive way" than his character in Constantine, screenwriter Kevin Brodbin told the Daily News.

Reeves celebrates his heritage at a press event in Hong Kong: The actor's estranged father is half-Chinese and half-Hawaiian. But Reeves remains close to mom Patricia, half sister Karina and sister Kim, who has struggled for years with leukemia. Reeves and Kim have "an exceedingly deep bond," says a friend. "He loves her so much."
