FOREIGN RULE: Britney Spears is scheduled for five concerts in Shanghai and Beijing later this year – but cultural ministers in China say the pop princess, 22, will have to watch what she wears, given that her sexual image has raised concerns in the communist state. Government ministers must approve her stage outfits before any show, according to the China News Service. The head of the Chinese culture ministry’s performance division, Pan Yan, said she had not yet received a performance application.

JACKO CLEARED: Authorities cleared Michael Jackson of charges that he molested an unidentified Los Angeles boy in the 1980s, after a two-month investigation found no evidence of a crime, police said Wednesday. Detectives discounted the “repressed memory” claims of the now-18-year-old accuser, who said the singer inappropriately touched him starting 15 years ago. The teen had been counseled by prominent Beverly Hills psychiatrist Carole Lieberman, who last year filed a child abuse complaint against Jackson with Santa Barbara County Protective Services, reported Reuters.

Sources close to the actors say Willis, 49, and Burns, 26, the former host of NBC’s Dog Eat Dog, parted ways “within the last week or so,” and the breakup was amicable. “It’s very difficult to maintain a relationship when they’re 3,000 miles apart,” one source told PEOPLE, adding that “both remain friends.”

Last September, PEOPLE reported that Quaid, 50, was seeing Buffington, a 35-year-old banking executive from Austin. The two met the previous March when Quaid played in the Texas city with his band, the Sharks. Buffington spent time at Quaid’s Montana ranch last summer, and last fall went with him to Africa, where he was remaking Flight of the Phoenix.
