Lance Armstrong drives the pacecar – and joins a slew of celebrities – at Sunday’s Indy 500. PEOPLE finds out who else will get their motors running, plus other events to watch for in the coming week:

SUNDAY, MAY 28: Lance Armstrong is hitting the road again, this time to drive the pace car at the 90th Annual Indianapolis 500. The Tour de France champ helps kick off the race, which starts at 1 p.m. ET (broadcast live on ABC).

And he’s not the only celebrity who’ll be on hand at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway: Ashley Judd will be cheering on her racecar-driver husband Dario Franchetti, David Letterman will be rooting for his team and Grey’s Anatomy‘s Patrick Dempsey will also be feeling the need for speed.

TUESDAY, MAY 30: The search is on again for the most hilarious person in America. Yes, Dear star Anthony Clark hosts the new season of NBC’s Last Comic Standing (8 p.m. ET). Show us the funny!

THURSDAY, JUNE 1: Can you spell ratings? For the first time in its 79-year history, the Scripps National Spelling Bee will go primetime. The country’s top young spellers will sweat it out while trying to remember SAT-level words when the finals air live from Washington, D.C. (ABC at 8 p.m. ET).

FRIDAY, JUNE 2: Talk about an A-list hook-up: Architecture aficionado Brad Pitt narrates the PBS documentary Design: e2, a syndicated series about environmentally friendly architecture. Check your local listings for air dates of the six-part program.
