Jessica Alba takes center stage as she hosts the MTV Movie Awards, airing on Thursday. PEOPLE takes a look at the big night, plus other events to watch for in the coming week:

SUNDAY, JUNE 4: They may not be on speaking terms but that didn’t stop Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie from shooting the fourth season of their reality show The Simple Life. The former BFFs will take on a host of challenges separately – like playing mom and planning a wedding. And this go-round, the show gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse of their personal lives (E! at 10 p.m. ET).

MONDAY, JUNE 5: Ashlee Simpson is ready to rock as she heads out on her “I Am Me” tour, kicking off at the Santa Barbara Bowl. Ashley Parker Angel – another MTV reality star – is one of her opening acts.

THURSDAY, JUNE 8: Jessica Alba is the ravishing ringleader at the center of the MTV Movie Awards. Leading the nomination brigade is Wedding Crashers and The 40-Year-Old Virgin, both up for five awards each. Christina Aguilera and AFI are among the performers taking the stage for the big night while Jessica Simpson, Colin Farrell and Justin Timberlake will be presenters (9 p.m. ET).

THE FINALE COUNTDOWN: After a rough ride – Vito getting outed and then murdered, Tony being shot by Uncle Junior – The Sopranos drums up more drama in its season ender (HBO on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET) …. And there are more polygamous hijinks in the closer of Big Love (HBO on Sunday at 10:05 ET) …. Celine Dion makes a guest appearance on the finale of Deal or No Deal, when the prize is a whopping $5 million (NBC on Monday at 8 p.m. ET) ….
