Two-Headed Baby Cobra Manages to be Cute, Creepy (VIDEO)

Awww?

Adoration and befuddlement are probably the two most immediate responses to seeing this rare two-headed baby cobra discovered by a breeder in China.

Sadly, the little guy will neither eat nor drink, so he’s been given to specialists at the Nanning Zoo. It’s shed its skin once, so they estimate it’s been alive for 10 days.

And because each head has its own brain, the two halves can move on their own, and they occasionally butt together as each head tries to move the body in the “S”-shape cobras travel in.

Doctors are worried about the animal’s chances for survival, not only because it still hasn’t eaten as of Tuesday, but also because it has a potentially low resistance to infection.
