Travolta Cases Settled

Posted on

John Travolta, 47, and two production companies who were suing and counter-suing one another over the movie “Donnie Brasco” and a never-produced Roman Polanski movie called “The Double” have settled their breach-of-promise cases out of court “to everyone’s satisfaction,” lawyers told Reuters on Tuesday. The production companies, Mandalay Entertainment and Liteoffer, had claimed Travolta verbally agreed to star in the Polanski film for $17 million but walked off after his character was rewritten. Travolta then counter-sued Mandalay, claiming it reneged on a deal for him to star in “Brasco,” which was ultimately made in 1997 with Al Pacino and Johnny Depp.
