"Every year we adopt a family and make sure they have presents under the tree and all the things they need for the holiday," McDermott told Entertainment Tonight about the couple, who work with Adopt-A-Family to fulfill someone's Christmas dreams.

Zellweger said thanks – with a –100 gift card to the coffee shop and a sweet note. "Wow," the message read. "Thank you so much for the kindness. Warmly, with gratitude, René!"
