“I’m still single,” he told PEOPLE with a chuckle at the Tim Tebow Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic on Friday.
And he’s not exactly looking, either. “I’ve got a lot going on these days. I’m busy,” he said.
In addition to his recent trade to the New York Jets – which he calls “a lot of fun” – Tebow is focusing on his foundation, which supports orphans, builds playrooms in children’s hospitals, and grants wishes of children with life threatening illnesses.
“My foundation is near and dear to my heart,” he said. “To be able to bring people together to raise money to help kids, and make a difference in their lives, that’s what it’s all about. I’m super excited about it.”
A committed Christian, he became known for “Tebowing” – kneeling in thankful prayer after a touchdown. Can we expect to see him Tebowing in the Jets’ endzone? “I hope so,” he said with a laugh. “Let’s see how it goes.”
