In 15 years, Uma Thurman will be 49 – and director Quentin Tarantino will still want her, for a third installment in his Kill Bill series.
“I have plans, actually not right away, but like in 15 years from now, I’ll do a third version of this saga,” the filmmaker, who’ll be 56 by then, told a news conference in Madrid, Spain, on Monday, according to the Associated Press.
Tarantino, who was in Spain for the opening of Kill Bill –Vol. 2, said the next episode will follow Nicky, the daughter of hired killer Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox), whom Thurman’s character bumps off during her killing spree.
Thurman, of course, plays The Bride, who seeks revenge on her former lover and boss Bill after he nearly kills her on her wedding day and leaves her in a coma.
At the news conference for the film, a reporter asked Tarantino if the lack of nudity in Bill – Vol. 2 reflected American puritanical sentiments.
Replied the filmmaker: “I like seeing beautiful girls’ skin as well as any other pervert. But that wasn’t this movie. I didn’t want to sexualize the girls to that extent because I wanted them to be empowering to women and not eye candy for guys.”
