A wax figure of Sophie Rhys-Jones wearing an exact replica of her wedding dress will go on show at Madame Tussaud’s in London the day after she marries Prince Edward on June 19, it was announced this week. Rhys-Jones has already given several sittings to Madame Tussaud’s sculptor Stuart Williamson, who has created her likeness. She has also given special permission for an identical dress to be made exclusively for her wax portrait by her designer Samantha Shaw.
- In other wax works, Joan Rivers, Don King and Al Roker are among the celebrities who will be immortalized when Madame Tussaud’s opens a new museum on Manhattan’s 42nd Street next spring. New York Magazine says Mayor Rudy Giuliani has also posed for a wax likeness.
