Indie rocker Ani DiFranco and her boyfriend, music engineer and producer Mike Napolitano, welcomed their first child, a daughter, on Jan. 20, PEOPLE has confirmed.
Petah Lucia was born at the couple’s Buffalo, N.Y., home and weighed in at 7 lbs., 8 oz.
“It was a long delivery, but mom and baby are both doing very well,” says a rep for DiFranco’s label, Righteous Babe Records.
DiFranco, 36, splits her time between New Orleans and Buffalo and will take some time off before resuming touring this summer. She married sound engineer Andrew Gilchrist in 1998, but the couple split in 2003.
