Shannen Doherty may be battling breast cancer, but she has a team of supporters behind her.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum took to Instagram on Saturday to thank her mom Rosa for standing by her side with a heartfelt black and white photo of the actress laying on her mother’s lap.

“Sometimes there’s nothing like a mothers love to help get you thru,” Doherty, 45, captioned the photo. “Thank you mom for always being there and being so strong for me. I love you. #mamarosa #cancersucks #fightlikeagirl.”

Since Doherty announced her breast cancer diagnosis last year, she has candidly shared her battle on social media. She recently shared an emotional series of photos of shaving her head featuring her mother and provided a small glimpse what it was like to go through chemo.

“Chemo day. A day many of us dread,” she captioned a photo of herself under the covers. “Strength gets us thru but every once in awhile, you just want to hide in bed and let chemo day pass you by.”

The actress previously thanked her husband Kurt Iswarienko for helping her through her cancer battle.

“Cancer is not pleasant but it can bring out the best in relationships or the worse,” she wrote on Instagram on a smiling photo of the couple. “Thankfully, it has made our marriage stronger.”

Previously, Doherty told Entertainment Tonight, “I could not have gotten through this without my husband.

“I told him, ‘You need to enjoy every single second you have with me because I’m going to be dead in five years,’ ” she explained. “He just burst out in tears. Thankfully, that phase was short.”

She called the unknown “the scariest part.”

“Everything else is manageable. Pain is manageable, you know living without a breast is manageable, it’s the worry of your future and how your future is going to affect the people that you love,” she said.
