After taking home the Best Actress Oscar for The Blind Side in 2010, Bullock took her time selecting her next roles, including 2012's The Heat, a female-driven comedy costarring Melissa McCarthy. The R-rated film raked in over $150 million and has already spawned rumors of a sequel, while her latest project, Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity, about an astronaut adrift in space, is garnering more Oscar buzz for the out-of-this-world star.

A BEAUTY TO BEHOLD
In Hollywood, where most celebs will try anything to turn back the clock, the brunette beauty has managed to age gracefully (if she's aged at all!), looking as good as she did in 1993's Demolition Man, her big screen breakthrough. But just because she makes it look easy doesn't mean she doesn't work at her svelte shape. ENVIABLE INNER CIRCLE
If you are who you hang with, Miss Congeniality is top notch – she counts many in Tinsel Town as longtime pals, including Ryan Reynolds, Keanu Reeves and Gravity costar George Clooney. "Sandy is the best. We've been really close friends for a long, long time," Clooney told PEOPLE. "She likes to say 20 years, but it's been a little longer than that. So just the idea that I got to work with her was a blast."

FAMILY (OVER) BUSINESS
"Work was my life before. Now I have no reason to leave home," Bullock told Vogue in her October cover story of adopting son Louis, now 2 years old, in 2010. The actress went on to add that if she ever felt her time in the spotlight was negatively affecting her son, she'd be happy to leave it. "I don't want him to have pressures brought on by what I do," she said. "I will quit. I will leave."

NO LOVE LOST
In 2010, her marriage unraveled with the world watching, and while ex-husband Jesse James soon moved on, Bullock has not publicly stepped back into the dating game – and that's just fine with her. "We're all where we're supposed to be," she told Vogue. "I am exactly where I want to be now … I'm grateful that I'm here, blessed to have what I have."
