On Wednesday, the world woke up to something even more exhilarating than a snow day or a dozen doughnuts: A new Rihanna track. And the world is rejoicing accordingly.

“Work,” which features Drake and draws from the dancehall sounds of her Barbados roots, is the first single off Rihanna’s highly anticipated forthcoming album, Anti. The anticipation for her new album has been building for a very long time – three years, to be precise. Her last album, Unapologetic, dropped in November 2012, and the track “Bitch Better Have My Money” was released 10 months ago. Essentially, there’s been a Rih drought, and fans have been #thirsty.

Thus, a mass freak-out was inevitable.

The song was released on Tidal, Jay Z’s streaming service, which many people were less enthused about.

But, overall, the mood on the Internet has been one of celebration, tears, all-caps and twerking gifs. If Anti is released this week (as it’s scheduled to), the Internet will surely combust.
