Ramsey Polygraph?

Posted on

After admitting on the “Today” Show and other programs last month that they would take a lie detector test to prove their innocence in the 1996 murder of their daughter JonBenet, Jon and Patsy Ramsey are getting their wish. Boulder, Colo., police said Tuesday that they are accepting the offer to administer a polygraph test to the Ramseys, and they are now awaiting a reply. The announcement was made by Boulder Police Chief Mark Beckner, although the local district attorney, Alex Hunter, had called such a test unreliable. Still, Hunter admitted at a news conference, it could prove to be a helpful investigative tool. Legally, results of polygraph tests are not allowed as evidence in court, a point that Patsy Ramsey made when she spoke to Katie Couric on “Today.”
