Just in case you didn’t see NBC’s “Must-See” Thursday night season finales of two of TV’s most popular sitcoms, “Friends” and “Will & Grace,” here’s a recap. SPOILER’S ALERT: Do not continue reading if the episodes still eagerly await you on Tivo. Okay, here goes: In what really wasn’t much of a surprise, considering that the promo for the show contained Ross’s muffled yet still audible reference to the baby as a “she,” Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) gave birth to a girl on “Friends” as Ross (David Schwimmer) assisted in the delivery room. The baby’s name is Emma, and she prompted the ever-so-dim Joey (Matt LeBlanc) to say upon first laying eyes on her, “She looks so real!” Inspired the blessed event, Monica (Courteney Cox Arquette) and husband Chandler (Matthew Perry) retreated to a hospital closet to start working on making a baby of their own, while Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) made eyes with a handsome bedridden patient. Ross never got around to giving Rachel the engagement ring he had waiting for her, but Joey accidentally picked it up in front of Rachel, who took it to be a marriage proposal from Joey — who had been pining for her all season. On “Will & Grace,” a comedy of errors prevented Grace (Debra Messing) from becoming impregnated by Will’s contribution to the sperm bank, and in a cliffhanger she may have met her knight in shining armor — riding up a white steed, no less. In other developments, Karen (Megan Mullally) may become unfaithful to her imprisoned husband, Stan, with a rich stranger (Rip Torn); Jack (Sean Hayes) may lose his job at Barney’s because of his devotion to show biz, which was re-ignited by a vision of Cher; and Will (Eric McCormack) still doesn’t have a boyfriend.
