Paris Hilton should be sentenced to 45 days in county jail for violating probation, Los Angeles city prosecutors say.

Prosecutors allege that Hilton, 26, knowingly drove with a suspended license on Feb. 27, and also failed to enroll in an alcohol education program, according to court papers filed Monday by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.

“These violations demonstrate Hilton’s disregard for the vehicle laws of this state, and the conditions of her probation,” the papers say.

The two alleged infractions stem from her DUI arrest last year.

Hilton’s rep Elliot Mintz has said the heiress was unaware her license had been suspended when she was pulled over in February.

“When Paris called me, she asked if her license was suspended,” Mintz told the Associated Press at the time. “If that’s the case, she and I are unaware of it.”

But prosecutors say Hilton was mailed a suspension notice from the Department of Motor Vehicles and was warned verbally and in writing by California Highway Patrol officers in another traffic stop on Jan. 15.

Hilton is required to appear in court Friday to answer to the charges of violating probation.

Hilton’s attorney, Howard Weitzman, was not immediately available for comment.
