Folk singer Pete Seeger died on Monday at the age of 94, leaving behind dozens of protest standards and a lifelong commitment to social justice.

He also leaves behind a Twitter account.

From October 2012 up to a few weeks before his death, Seeger dispensed history lessons, aphorisms and folksy jokes on his @Peter_Seeger account. You probably didn’t follow Seeger – he only had a few thousand followers, and may have preferred it that way. But while you remember his legacy, take a few minutes to enjoy some of his greatest wisdom in 140-character packages. As he was fond of saying, “The world will be solved by millions of small things.”
