DENIED: A federal judge in New York on Tuesday declined to dismiss two charges from the indictment of Martha Stewart, 62, including one that accuses her of deceiving her own shareholders by publicly declaring her innocence, reports the Associated Press. The decision means the domestic queen will face all five charges the government brought against her when she goes to trial in less than two months. Stewart is also accused of conspiracy and two counts of lying to investigators in connection with her Dec. 27, 2001, sale of about 4,000 shares of ImClone stock.

SUED: A former assistant to supermodel Naomi Campbell claims in a lawsuit that Campbell, 33, struck her and tossed a phone at her in a Beverly Hills two years ago, reports AP. Simone Craig, 29, makes the claim in her suit, filed in state Superior Court in Morris County, N.J. Craig also says that during the model’s tantrum, Campbell held her prisoner. Campbell’s attorney, John Rosenberg, said she “categorically denies the allegations.” In 1998, Campbell was charged with assaulting a previous assistant, Georgina Galanis. In a deal with prosecutors, Campbell admitted remorse and was released, says AP.
HOSPITALIZED: Isaac Hanson, who turned 23 on Monday, entered a Manhattan hospital, reports New York’s Daily News. A rep for his band of brothers declined to specify a reason for his admission, but said the brothers are in town looking for an apartment downtown and preparing for the spring launch of their next album. Hanson recently completed a tour and played Carnegie Hall.
REVEALED: Singer and actress Aaliyah died of severe burns and a blow to the head after her plane crashed in the Bahamas Aug. 25, 2001, a pathologist testified Monday at the opening of a coroner’s inquest, reports AP. Dr. Giovander Raju also said the 22-year-old singer “suffered generally from a weak heart.” “Aaliyah went into such a state of shock, even if she had survived the crash, recovery would have been near impossible.” In all, eight people perished in the crash.
