Watch: New Ad Has the Web Buzzing About Gender Equality in the Workplace

A man is “persuasive,” but a woman is “pushy.” A man is “neat,” but a woman is “vain.”

A new ad by Pantene that focuses on the hypocrisy of these double standards is picking up steam across the Internet. Set to a cover of Tears for Fears’ “Mad World,” the spot was released over a month ago, but a glowing endorsement from Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s Chief Operating Officer and author of “Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead,” has helped spike its views recently.

The ad was produced by BBDO Guerrero in Manila, but its message is universal.
