After yesterday’s news that CBS and NBC have asked its stars not to appear on rival ABC’s “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” during the sweeps period, comes word today that the Regis Philbin-hosted show will welcome at least 10 Olympic athletes. Their winnings will go to charity. ABC announced on Monday that wrestler Rulon Gardner, swimmers Lenny Krayzelburg, Jenny Thompson, Dara Torres and Gary Hall Jr., basketball player Lisa Leslie, runner Maurice Green, diver Laura Wilkinson, soccer player Julie Foudy and pole vaulter Stacy Dragila are set to appear on “Millionaire” episodes scheduled to air on Oct. 22 and 24.
