Oliver Hudson and his actress wife Erinn Bartlett are expecting their first child, a source confirms to PEOPLE.
Hudson, 30, star of the CBS comedy Rules of Engagement, and Bartlett, 34, who appeared in the movies Rumor Has It and Raising Helen, have been married for nearly a year.
After a four-year relationship, they were engaged in 2004 and married last June in Mexico in a beachside ceremony attended by Hudson’s sister Kate Hudson, her then-husband Chris Robinson, their son Ryder, now 3, plus Hudson’s mom Goldie Hawn and her partner, Kurt Russell.
“I want babies,” Oliver Hudson told PEOPLE after his engagement. “I think I’ll be a great dad.”
The pregnancy was first reported by E! Online’s columnist Marc Malkin.
Hudson is not the only expectant parent on the set of Rules of Engagement. PEOPLE has confirmed that actress Megyn Price, 36, will become a first-time mom this summer.
“She’s doing great,” says her manager. “She looks good, she’s hiking, she’s eating organic and she is very happy.”
Price, whose husband, Eddie, is an ER doctor, is due in July.
