Call it … Ar-roasted Development.

In honor of April Fools’ Day, and in the vein of its classic holiday offering, Fireplace for Your Home, Netflix has debuted their new original, Rotisserie Chicken, for April 1.

Described as “In the tradition of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Netflix‘s film invites you to witness a searing, chronology-defying return to one’s origins that stokes the imagination.”

And indeed, the film is one hour and thirteen minutes of a chicken glistening and slowly turning on a rotisserie spit; the only soundtrack is the slow creaking of metal on metal. It. Is. Riveting. (Here’s one of the most entrancing scenes, courtesy of Business Insider.)

The top review for the film is currently “Still a better movie than Twilight.”

Chicken is the new black.
