Commiserate With These Stars on National Married to A Scorpio Support Day

Posted on

November 18 is National Married to A Scorpio Support Day. Scorpios are wonderful, caring people, but there’s also a reason the adjective “intense” is frequently applied to them, and it’s probably the same reason that there’s a national day of support for the people who choose to marry them.

Let’s take a look at six famous couples and some helpful information for the non-Scorpio spouses on how to handle their fiery partner.

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell

Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn pose backstage at the hit play “Race” on Broadway at The Barrymore Theater on February 11, 2010 in New York City.
While Hawn and Russell aren’t “technically” married, they’ve been together long enough for Russell to have (presumably) figured out a few tricks for dealing with his wife. People born on November 21 (“The Day of Elegance”) are imaginative, tasteful, and sexual, though they can also be self-destructive and closed-off. But Russell could have figured that out from watching Private Benjamin.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively

Ryan Reynolds was born on October 23, or “The Day of Conflicting Karma.” Fortunately for wife Blake Lively, that makes him “energetic, quick, and passionate.” Less fortunately, that also makes him “undiplomatic, possessive, and excitable.” So just make sure to give him plenty of exercise and fresh water, Blake, and definitely keep him away from visiting dignitaries.

Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman

Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman at the American premiere of “Les Miserables,” December 10, 2012.
Anne Hathaway‘s birthday is November 12, “The Day of Sensual Charisma,” which she shares – appropriately – with Ryan Gosling and – less appropriately – with Neil Young. These people are “magnetic, seductive, and attractive,” but can also be “addictive, troubled, and heavy,” which we assume refers to temperament, not weight. If Adam can keep the Kafka short stories and sad music out of the house, he should be in the clear.

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves

Matthew McConaughey and Camilla Alves rode on the back of a golf cart in Liberty State Park.
Matthew McConaughey was born on November 4, “The Day of the Provacateur,” which means he’s “magnetic, involved, and charming,” all of which are adjectives we’d readily apply to the Texan actor. On the more negative side, he’s apparently “unrealistic,” but if Camila can forgive the occasional nude-conga drumming incident, we think these kids will make it.

Julia Roberts and Danny Moder

Julia Roberts and Daniel Moder attend Heal The Bay’s “Bring Back The Beach” Annual Awards Presentation amp Dinner, May 17, 2012.
Julia Roberts was born on October 28, or “The Day of Research,” a date she shares with Bill Gates, Joaquin Phoenix, and um Justin Guarini. While these people are “curious and thorough,” they can also be “prying and demanding.” Listen, Danny, just approach your marriage the same way you’d approach Bill Gates and Justin Guarini: Cautiously.

Hillary and Bill Clinton

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former U.S. President Bill Clinton (R) December 1, 2012
Hillary Clinton was born on October 26, or “The Day of Organizational Cohesion,” which sounds like something you’d buy at Office Max. People born on this day are “group-conscious, financially astute, and organized,” all of which are great traits for politicians, though they can also be “repressive and rigid.” Bill, that means you can probably take a lot of what you learned from dealing with Congress into your marriage. Ahem.
