Naomi Campbell ended her five days of community service Friday in a New York City Department of Sanitation garage dressed as though she was headed to a party – which she was.
She wore a Dolce & Gabbana gown and drove off to Elton John’s 60th birthday, the British supermodel’s rep told PEOPLE.
And, instead of the Cadillac Escalade that had deposited and collected Campbell all week at the sanitation facility, this time her mode of transportation was a silver Rolls Royce.
Outfitted in a bare-shouldered, ankle-length shimmering gown and stiletto sandals, Campbell sped away as residents near the garage just stood and watched.
Campbell’s supervisor for the week, sanitation chief Albert Durrell, said she successfully completed her service.
Campbell’s work stint had been ordered by a Manhattan Criminal Court judge, who also demanded she take anger management classes and pay $363.32 in restitution (and more in hospital bills) to her former housekeeper, Ana Scolavino – who had accused Campbell of throwing a cell phone at her because Scolavino could not find her jeans.
Beginning last Monday morning, when she showed up in stiletto heels, Campbell’s arrival at the work facility was worthy of the catwalk in Milan, and she wore a spectacular outfit each day.
Actor Terrence Howard, whom Campbell had been seen palling around with recently, told Ellen DeGeneres of his friend that she was dressing up “because they wanted to see her in these messed up clothes. … She’s so classy. I love her for that.”
Still, none was as jaw-dropping as the gown and accessories that brought her ordeal to a close.
