PEOPLE Magazine chose Julia Roberts as its covergirl for the annual Most Beautiful People in the World 2000 issue, but in the fifth annual PEOPLE.com poll of the Most Beautiful, the movie star finished at No. 8, behind a handful of teen dream chart-toppers. In a very close race, *NSYNC’s Justin Timberlake (he’s the blond with the curly hair), logged 263,603 votes to win, while sometime girlfriend (and last year’s winner) Britney Spears finished second (238,065 votes). Rounding out the top 10, Scott Cohen (“The 10th Kingdom”), Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, Roy Dupuis (“La Femme Nikita”), Oded Fehr (“The Mummy”), Gillian Anderson (“The X-Files”), Roberts, Angelina Jolie and singer Tori Amos. Howard Stern’s frequent guest Hank the Angry, Drunken Dwarf, who won the title in 1998, didn’t make a showing this year.
