When it comes to keeping the romance alive with his wife, Michael Bublé doesn’t rely on his powerhouse vocal chords (or those swoon-worthy love songs).

Rather, it’s all about modern technology.

Due to his work schedule, they’ve spent the past couple of months apart, he says. Their long-distance essential? “A lot of Skype dates,” Bublé tells Entertainment Tonight Canada.

“I miss her, though,” the Canadian crooner, 36, says of wife Luisana Loreley Lopilato de la Torre, 25, an Argentine actress. “So it’s just been nuts. We’ve been going back and forth.”

The couple celebrated their first anniversary in March, and to mark the milestone, “I recorded a song for her and a video,” he says. But it was Lopilato de la Torre’s gift that “shocked” him, he adds.

The actress gave him a very special book that contained “every note, every love note, every ticket – everything we’ve done.”

“She saved everything,” he says. “It was very sweet.”
