Her appearances on The Girls Next Door often saw O'Connor providing advice and guidance to the show's stars, Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison, whom she joined at the Derby alongside Hef, his brother Keith and artist LeRoy Neiman. "She was so giving and helpful to so many and has left a legacy of wonderful friendships, memories and so much more," Madison told PEOPLE.

O'Connor and Crystal Harris, who married Hef at the start of this year, looked ready for an Easter parade as they celebrated the holiday in 2010. "Just got news that Mary was the most Googled person today," the newlywed wrote on Twitter the day after O'Connor's passing. "Proof of how much people care. Love you Mary!"
