Mark Ballas made time stand still on his wedding day!

On Friday, the Dancing with the Stars pro married singer BC Jean at a venue just north of Los Angeles. But before the man of the hour wed his bride a day after Thanksgiving at their Southern California wedding, he and his groomsmen participated in the Mannequin Challenge!

Ballas, 30, joined best man and fellow DWTS pro Derek Hough and the rest of his groomsmen in the groom’s quarters where they partook in social media’s latest craze.

“Meanwhile in the groomsmen room moments before walking the aisle,” Ballas captioned the Instagram video, which documented the men looking at their watches, adjusting their clothes and Ballas holding a champagne bottle over the mouth of one his friends while the camera panned the room.

PEOPLE exclusively reported on Friday that Ballas and his bandmate tied the knot in front of 160 guests. Ballas wore a dark green-blue suit while the bride wore a stunning embroidered gown with a bejeweled headpiece.

“It’s a wild feeling,” Ballas, who is starring as Frankie Valli in Broadway’s Jersey Boys, told PEOPLE of marrying Jean (née Brittany Jean Carlson). “Your wedding is something you subconsciously prepare for your entire life. You wonder who it’s going to be with, where it is going to be and how the ceremony and reception are going to be. Now it’s finally here and happening. It’s surreal. I just want to soak it all up because I just know I’m going to click my fingers and the whole evening will be over and I want to make sure I enjoy it.”

After watching his longtime friend say “I do,” Hough took to Instagram to pen a congratulatory message in honor of the happy couple.

“Such an honor to be the best man at my brothers wedding. Witnessing their love be sealed under a beautiful Oak tree in front of family friends was such a special moment. Like the tree May you Stand together tall and proud,” he captioned the image of the newlywed pair. “May you always Go out on a limb for one another. To Stay grounded and dig your roots in deep so that you may weather any storm . And always continue to grow, stronger and higher reaching towards the heavens. And to always enjoy the view. Love you two.”
