The Dancing with the Stars pro’s bride-to-be was in the audience on Tuesday night to support her fiancé’s Broadway debut, and the couple spoke with PEOPLE about counting down to their upcoming wedding.
“This is an amazing time right now, not only in my life, but in our lives together,” Ballas told PEOPLE. “This has been a dream come true being a part of Jersey Boys and to be the final guy to play Frankie Valli on Broadway.”
He continued that “planning our wedding is one of the most exciting times of my life — then again our lives. I’m just taking it in stride.”

When asked if it’s hectic juggling Broadway stardom with wedding preparation, Ballas was all smiles: “There’s no stress. I’m not worrying about anything. I’m just taking every day as it comes. This is an honor. It’s a blessing.”
He teased, “The wedding is going to be beautiful, and I know that. We’re excited!”
The duo, who have been partners in music and in love since 2012, got engaged last November when Ballas got down on one knee and popped the question. This week, they only had eyes for each other, with Ballas sharing that the Four Seasons hits that remind him of BC Jean are “My Eyes Adored You” and “Can’t Take My Eyes off of You.”
