The “Black Widow” singer, 24, took to Instagram on Tuesday to post a message thanking the Queen of Pop, 56, for ignoring the haters and standing behind her kiss with the rapper during his headlining performance at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival.
The British artist posted a sexy shot of the “Like a Prayer” singer with the caption: “Thank you for fighting all these ageist battles, and paving a way, that just maybe one day, all of us ‘younger’ artists won’t have too in the future!”
She topped the post off with the hashtags “#if—-inlovethisb—-” and “thatswhatlegendsdo.”
And Ora’s support didn’t go unnoticed. The Rebel Heart artist reposted the young singer’s heartfelt words to her own Instagram the same day.
“Thanks Rita! Good to know you appreciate the beating I’m taking so all you ladies don’t have to endure this kind of discrimination!” Madge wrote in response.
While many fans celebrated Madonna’s move as a typical Coachella stunt, others criticized the pop star, accusing her of being inappropriate by kissing the 28-year-old rapper.
But Drake cleared up any confusion about his reaction to the kiss during her surprise cameo. He took to social media – just a day before Ora came out with her support – writing on Instagram, “Don’t misinterpret my shock!! I got to make out with the queen Madonna and I feel about that forever.”
