With Marc Anthony her man for now, and, presumably, until death do they part, the former loves of Jennifer Lopez are chiming in with their comments about last weekend’s surprise marriage of the singer-actress, 34, and the crooner, 35.
Two out of three of them, at least, wish her nothing but the best.
Claiming “that’s my girl for life,” Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, who dated Lopez for two years, tells Access Hollywood he admires her independence and is thrilled about the wedding.
“If she’s in love with somebody and that makes her happy, I’m happy for her. … The one thing I love about Jennifer is she’s doing it her way, the Frank Sinatra way,” says Combs, 33. “She’s not playing by anybody else’s rules, so she’s doing what makes her happy and that’s the beauty of it.”
Judd, whose marriage to Lopez lasted a scant eight months, learned that his ex had remarried only after Access Hollywood asked him to comment on the new nuptials.
“She did?” he asked incredulously, before going on to say, “You know what? I wish her and Marc the best. And hey, if it’s true to her heart then by all means.”
That leaves the last man in her life, Ben Affleck, 31, who reportedly got out of a Boston hospital, where he was being treated for bronchitis, on the same day as the Saturday wedding in California.
“The world’s got a few other problems,” a spokesman for Affleck told New York’s Daily News. “Leave him alone.”
Meanwhile, the newly married couple must be so busy honeymooning that as of Monday afternoon, Anthony’s Web site was still carrying photos from his last splashy wedding, in December 2002, to former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres.
That ceremony followed the couple’s six-month separation, which, in turn, had followed their quickie May 2000 Las Vegas wedding.
Their divorce became official last Tuesday, just days before Anthony’s wedding to Lopez.
