Celebrity publicist Lizzie Grubman gave birth to a baby boy, Harrison Irving Stern, on Tuesday in New York City, PEOPLE has confirmed.
Grubman, 35, and husband Chris Stern, 36, welcomed the 8 lb., 10 oz. baby (whom they plan to call “Harry”) at 7:45 a.m. at Lenox Hill Hospital.
“Lizzie is feeling great. She’s really excited,” says Grubman’s spokeswoman, Sabrina Levine. “He’s a big, sturdy, healthy, adorable kid. He’s great.”
Grubman, whose clients have included Britney Spears and Diddy, married Stern, an advertising executive, on St. Patrick’s Day of this year. This is the first child for both.
Last year, Grubman starred in the MTV reality series Power Girls, which followed the publicist and her protégés on the job in New York City. But it was in 2001 that Grubman gained notoriety when she backed her Mercedes SUV into a crowd of people outside a Southampton nightclub, injuring 16. She later served 37 days in jail and received five years’ probation for the incident.
